This is the first movie I remember seeing as a kid. I LOVED it. It was my celebrated. Then, I didn’t secure to gape it again for several years (expressionless Blockbuster!) When I finally saw it again, I Calm liked it. I like it as I write this very day. The music is reliable (the background music leisurely the movie that nobody really conciously listens to, but helps the mood anyway) . The animation’s splendid, too. And I ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT! (How often does that happen? ) Gape, what happens a lot of the time, is that people blame colors they don’t like, or designs that are annoying, or WHATEVER on the animation. But it isn’t the animation’s fault! The plot the thing on-screen MOVES is the only thing the animators do, mostly. So, if you really want to criticize the animation, view at how they Fade, not what they stare like. Do you watch?
I mediate that, really, most of the reason that this is one of my common movies is that it is about BOOKS. When I was runt, my dad read me “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe” and “The Hobbit”; things like that. So, naturally, I loved books and stories. This is practically the only movie I’ve seen that encourages reading so great while quiet being trusty. It’s positive that the filmmakers themselves (or at least, a lot of the people working on it) actually like to read. THAT’S really why I like the Pagemaster.

So, if you like to read, eye this movie. If you don’t (you deny nincompoop), finish away, and don’t criticize what you have no comprehension of.
I first saw this movie with my absorb Mom when it first came out into the theatres. I am now 14-and I don’t care what you think- and I absolutely loved this movie.
I agree with the review by amazon.com which declares the “animation to be middling, but what can you say about a movie that encourages a kid to prefer up a book? ” That is so suitable. In a blueprint, this chronicle reminds me of myslef…no, I’m not overprotective of myself or obsessed with statistics…but I do admire to read…fantasy for that matter, and this pulls me succor into another fantasy realms that I cannot account for.

Only other people who are like me in this blueprint will bask in this at older ages, but this is a must-see for all young children! They will adore this! I personally believe that it in itself is powerful better that some of Disney’s stuff. Indulge In!

I treasure Brak. I weak to tape all the episodes of Cartoon Planet (aloof far and away the funniest Brak stuff ever to be broadcast) and note it to my friends, who would topple on the floor laughing. I also loved early episodes of The Brak Reveal, with it’s perfect dynamic of Brak, his Ricardo Montalban-meets- Desi Arnaz dad and June Cleaver mom (wonderfully voiced by Marsha Crenshaw) . When the first Brak DVD came out, a lot of fans went straight for the extras and found, to our delight, a bunch of the hysterically amusing stuff from Cartoon Planet. Tremendous! Now, if only they would release a second volume with all the classic CP Brak stuff that wasn’t included on the first DVD. And then…woah! We heard that a second volume would be released! General excitement filled the air for Brak fans everywhere (everytime I wear my Brak T-shirt, in any city or country, people give me the thumbs up as I drag by) and we all salivated over what would surely include more terrific extras, like volume one did. Now, given that Marsha Crenshaw had been replaced by someone with a completely unfunny (and generally reviled by fans) British accent, the extras would be the only thing that could possibly sell this second volume, but it was more than enough. And then, it arrived. Alas, no extras, no episodes with Marsha Crenshaw as Brak’s mom, and a generally disappointing, if not depressing, DVD. Oh well, maybe Cartoon Network will someday release Cartoon Planet on DVD. They should, given that it was the funniest thing the network ever aired. Brak Volume 2 is one major, major missed opportunity.
No extras, missing the Fresh Year’s Eve Special, and there’s really no reason this had to be on 2 DVD’s. Especially disappointing considering how ample Volume 1 was. Seems like it was fair thrown together, and build out mercurial to win the expose out of Adult Swim’s hair.

This movie is completely independent from the other two films, with everything assist to normal at the beginning of it from when the last ended. It’s beautiful easy to follow along for thsoe who haven’t seen the other two, or even the rest of the series. As others have mentioned, this movie takes on a D&D / Lord of the Rings feel to it as it explores the fantasy realm, but it’s nicely explained as to why it happens that blueprint. Everything seems to blend together well in this movie (the various subplots status up at the beginning join together) . The movie also refers relieve to the fresh series and explains various things: a possibile origin between the Farnesworth-Wordstrom rivalry, more on the Mom-Farnesworth relationship, Nibbler being picked up off Vergon 6 as it implodes (and why it does implode), and a few other things. I assume all of these add to what’s known in the Futurama universe without taking away from anything, and fits very well in to what is already established.

I really enjoyed the movie, probably more than the other two movies. The one thing I didn’t like so grand about the DVD were the features. I didn’t accept them all that moving. I enjoyed seeing how to arrangement the characters, and the genetics lab was somewhat challenging (but limiting) . Everything else wasn’t unpleasant, but unprejudiced seemed a bit short.

The packaging I got my DVD in was the cardboard “carbon neutral” packaging, in which the disc is build into a cardboard cut. I went out and bought a CD envelope to attach in my box instead of using the carve.
The box did hold 4 Futurama postcards: giant Bender and Zoidberg (from the Anthology of Interest), Fry and Leela running away from aliens attacking, an ad to “Sustain your robot spruce” and a generic “The future is today, trouble about it tomorrow.” Even though these were mostly save in to advertise that these images were for sale in paintings, I kind of like the extra of having postcard-sized art (“One ‘art’ please”) .
The first two Futurama movies were ok (well, to be objective, Beast with a Billion Backs was poor), but this third installment is a winner. It has all the sly humor from the classic Futurama seasons that you’ve missed, and then some. I enjoyed the greater inclusion of Dr. Zoidberg.
The premise is quite moral to life; the Planet Snort crew must deal with the increase in sunless matter fuel prices. This somehow segues into a Lord of the Rings place which I won’t spoil, but it actually works out quite well. We have an spicy tie-in between Mom and Professor Farnsworth.
All the feeble accepted characters are here too, including Morbo the Annihilator, Nibbler, Sal, Scruffy the Janitor, and George Takei. I didn’t glance Zapp Brannigan or Kif, but they weren’t missed, and would’ve detracted from the legend, or rather, the semblance of a sage.
In conclusion, I consider it’s the unmistakable stench of dwarf urine that makes this Futurama movie a winner!

I’m surprised by some of the negative reviews of this movie. I rented this last night to contemplate with my mom and we both really enjoyed it. Neither one of us are gymnasts (or under 13 for that matter) or even cared that powerful for bring it on, but Stick It was extremely likeable nonetheless.

Overall, my common thing about the movie is in the witty commentary and the humor that the movie sticks in very appropriately. I assume Hayley was fair hilarious, whether she was talking or thinking. She has a rather darkly sarcastic humor, but its very tasteful and witty. The not-so-smart Johann, complimenting the role of the bitchy teammate originally, gives a lot of comedic relief as well [Mina - "She got her GED when she was 15"
Johann - "What does drunk driving have to do with any of this? "]. Mina and Wei-Wei are somewhat minor characters but I can’t support but accept them a microscopic bit intelligent even by their casual expressions, the actresses did an suited job making them seem minor but detached multi-dimensional enough to be silly and loveable.
It was also a obedient surprise that nearly all of the girls in this film are actually showed as being very strong and athletic. One reviewer said that the practice sessions were hard to discover, but I plan the opposite. If they skipped the practice sessions a immense fragment of the movie would have been taken away and detracted from its ultimate message. I enjoyed the practice sessions, it’s not every day that you ogle teen girls embracing their strength and the girls were so mighty more elegant than the food deprived models that seem to hasten the media otherwise. I mentioned before, and I’ll say it again that I do not do gymnastics and I don’t contemplate I ever will. However, I definitely found this movie inviting, and I have a lot of respect for these athletes in the shape they must accomplish to compete.

And as for what age group would delight in this … I definitely contemplate it appeals to a wide spectrum. My mom and I were originally watching this but both my older brother and my younger brother were intrigued before the raze and came to examine as well. I’m 16, my brothers are 13 and 18, and my mom is… well, yeah mommy age. But it doesn’t capture a distinct gender or age to devour this movie.
“Stick It” had tough competition factual out of the gates. Written and directed by “Bring It On” writer, Jessica Bendinger, everyone expected something along the same lines as that cheerleading comedy which, as time has passed, has become rather tired and corny. In all honesty, I feel that “Stick It” has potential to remain a solid film long after “Bring It On” has begun to acquire dust on the DVD shelf.
In “Stick It,” the very unlikeable Haley Graham (Missy Peregrym) winds up in court and her only options to quit out of jail are Texas Military Academy or VGA, Vickerman Gymnastics Academy, headed up by Burt Vickerman (Jeff Bridges) . You peruse, Graham has a past in the gymnastics world, and she isn’t welcomed very warmly, especially by her novel teammates. Graham is faulty, selfish, and pleasing mighty a brat. But as the film progresses and we open to gaze more layers peel off of Graham’s untrue tough outer shell, we realize that she isn’t all that bad.
The climax of the film is very wonderful, but it works in the format that it’s presented in. Bridges and Peregrym play off of each other very well, and you eventually hope to perceive both succeed in the ruin. The supporting cast is extraordinary, especially Peregrym’s gymnastics mates, Joanna (Vanessa Lengies), Wei Wei (Nikki SooHoo), and Mina (Maddy Curley) . These three alone are worth watching this film. Hopefully they will all have solid future careers.
Overall, this film is sort of formulaic, but it has objective enough edge and impartial enough comedy to hold it from going passe. It fortunately tones down some of the silliness that plagued “Bring It On,” and finds a decent balance between giddy teen fun and decent drama. The gymnastics sequences are nice to glimpse, but it’s the training sequences that can become painful to watch.
Mildly recommended to fans of teen comedy, but for those who devour decent drama/comedy, this is a sure flick to gawk.

The two year passe I leer after and his six year weak sister, appreciate this DVD. Every narrative is enjoyable and the yarn with the frog, is such fun that Henry squeals with delight every time he watches it. A astronomical DVD to add to your collection.
We fair got this dvd today. My daughter is 4 and really enjoyed it. It’s our first Scholastic Video Collection dvd we’ve gotten to glimpse. I bought a whole bunch but they haven’t arrived yet. So far, we are glad with this and anticipate that we will indulge in the others as well.

This dvd includes 4 though-provoking stories (some more inviting than others) : “Bark, George”; “Dot the Fire Dog”; “No Roses for Harry” and “Whistle for Willie”. It also has 2 live-action short videos: “A Boy, a Dog and a Frog” and “Angus Lost”.
The narrators voices for the intelligent stories are nice. There’s really no words spoken in both the live-action videos. My daughter got a genuine kick out of George and what he has to say at the ruin of the legend. I really liked the portion at the extinguish of “Dot the Fire Dog” where there are fire safety tips. I conception that was really ample for my daughter to open learning.

I reflect my personal *least* accepted of the stories is “A Boy, a Dog, and a Frog” simply because I’m a mom and I’m exquisite protective of my kids. I kept thinking, “why is this runt kid by a pond all by himself? He looks like he’s 5 years veteran. He could drown!”. And then, when he comes home he’s in the bathtub with the dog and even my daughter asked why he was taking a bath all by himself without his mom there. I know, I know….it’s unbiased a fable. But aloof, I had to state her that she can only have a bath when I’m there and she can’t go running off somewhere by herself. Other than that we like the dvd.
I had selected Play All and when it was all over it started playing again from the first legend. My daughter liked it enough to want to behold it all over again. The dvd says it’s for ages 3 – 9 (my 12 year extinct was in the room when “Bark, George” was on and he was keen in it enough to search for a miniature and even laughed) and it’s 53 minutes long.
